Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is the second of five all new adventures in J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World™.

At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings.

In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp. The cast also includes, Zoë Kravitz, Callum Turner, Claudia Kim, William Nadylam, Kevin Guthrie, Carmen Ejogo, and Poppy Corby-Tuech.

“Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” is directed by David Yates, from a screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The film is produced by David Heyman, J.K. Rowling, Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

Slated for release on November 16, 2018, the film will be distributed worldwide in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

"You're too good Newt. You never met a monster you couldn't love."His character summed up in two sentences. Perfect.

  • Team VLCN (Nov 26, 2018)

Newt is my favourite Harry Potter character for precisely that reason.

  • Manny Lugz (Nov 17, 2018)

Wait until Grindenwald learned his greatest fear. Then he will be teleported to an office and locked there where he will die of extreme fright.

"It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies but a great deal more to stand up to your friends", I couldn't help but think that he was speaking from personal experience when he said that at the end of the first movie. Guess I was right.

  • Alisa Hanny (Jan 31, 2019)

This senctence was has in harry potter first movie. Neville got the points right?

  • Nithin Joshua (Nov 28, 2018)

He is constantly working against Grindelwald, initially with a conflicted state of mind but as the storyline progresses, he becomes clear on which side he's on. This will consummate with his legendary duel with Grindelwald in the 5th movie.

  • ANNIE NAGALIA (Jul 27, 2018)

Dumbledore: I can't go against Grindelwald. It has to be you*****Harry:that sounds familiar..

  • ANNIE NAGALIA (Nov 23, 2018)

+Ukhu have you read the books??

  • Ukhu (Nov 23, 2018)

+ANNIE NAGALIA yeah. I was obvious, although this introduces new problems for me. When they did it? After Albus' sister died? I don't think so, and if they did it before... How could they fight and killed Albus' sister? Well, I have a couple of theories that involve the nature of Unbreakables cause even Severus doesn't fully protect Draco. We will have to see.

  • Iqbaal Annaafi (Aug 22, 2018)

I love how Grindelwald says "Do you think Dumbledore will mourn for you?" As if implying that he still hold some feelings for Dumbledore.

  • Tia Aaron (Feb 25, 2019)

+Mark Hogan She has retconned oat of the things she had written and said. No reason for her she not to retcon this one as well.

  • Mark Hogan (Jan 31, 2019)

No, it does not imply that. He's trying to insinuate that Dumbledore does not care about Newt and is merely manipulating him. And he never had any feeling for Dumbledore. JK Rowling confirmed Dumbledore's feelings were one sided.

  • Thomas H (Nov 17, 2018)

Just imagine, 6 years from now we will get to see the final battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald...
