Let’s be honest. This is probably the only category everyone only cares about

davy209The Lead Actress categories at the Emmy’s are way more exciting than the Best Actress category at the Oscars! The roles for women on TV is far outpacing movies in my opinion!

@The Real Tamartian I think you should give best supporting actress drama, a look this year. You'll thank me later

Sandra Oh delivered a brilliant performance of a really difficult non-derivative character that broke the mold. The way Oh deftly played Eve balanced the line between drama/thriller and tragi-comedy in a way I've never seen before. Bravo! An amazing award-worthy performance!

true true. so many great tv shows out there. cinema rly needs to catch up in terms of "breaking the mold" and finding unconventional, bold stories with complex characters.

This scene really shows to me that Jodie Comer should've also been nominated together with Sandra Oh.

  • CopperDiablo27 10 months ago

Yes!! She was brilliantly scary to the highest power. She should have won as well.

This is the one of the most impressive lineups of any category in the history of the Emmys. Every single one of these women has delivered a superb performance that would otherwise make them a shoo-in if the category wasn’t so stacked. How blessed we are to live in a time with such strong, well-crafted female characters.

I don’t want to admit it, but television has much better roles for women than movies. Just compare the Emmy and Nominees for Best Actress and compare which roles have more “meat” in them.

The most difficult category, but i'm so into Claire Foy and Elisabeth Moss. But it will be a good and big surprise if Sandra Oh win

  • Gabriel Paiva 10 months ago

Elizabeth Moss went above and beyond anything I've seen on TV before, who cares if she won last year she deserves it the most

There is no question that all of the women nominated are doing excellent work, really top of their game work, but there is only one woman that is doing that multiple times sometimes even as she plays two parts in the same scene. I love them all but Tatiana Maslany's work in Orphan Black is in a category by itself.
