  • Now that we’re past both Google IO and WWDC, we wanted to compare the stuff that both Apple and Google announced. They’re doing very similar things, but Apple is doing it Apple’s way, Google is doing it Google’s way. Even though I'm not an Apple fan, I'm still very glad that someone is pursuing the local processing way without the cloud. End to end encryption and data security and privacy is very important for some people and it is respectable that Apple provides an alternative to Googles approach.

I'm happy that my generation has finally gotten old enough to get into tech journalism and happily exclaim "YO" when talking about something they like.

What people keep forgetting is that Microsoft is actually on the verge of making the bridge between PC and phone obsolete by allowing Windows to run on ARM - not just apps.

Isn't that the whole point?.. Two competing OS doing their thing to either simplify how we do things or multiply our productivity. It shouldn't be seen in a comparisons angle but having these big tech going at it is great for us as consumers...

Google "ships" updates to the devices they make just in the same way Apple "ships" updates to theirs.
Remember, slow updates it's largely a manufacturer created problem. Yes carriers also get in the way, but it mostly is the OEMs.

But still, Google assistant can make phone calls, What can Siri Do? "I'm not sure I understand".

If we all bought Google Pixel phones which are almost the same price as the apple phones than Updates are not a problem in android... Maybe not a fair comparison dieter, Since android offers such various devices for their customers.

What's taking so long for Apple to implement grouped notification?
Are Apple's copycat engineers really that incapable for such a simple feature?
    Welcome to 2012.
