The best electric skateboards of 2018

  • Published on:  6/29/2018
  • Electric skateboards and longboards have become a relatively common sight in big cities, and a lot of companies now make them. Unfortunately most of them are more toy than tool. We tested out a few of the most popular boards under $2,000, and it's pretty clear which two win out. Which electric skateboard is your favorite?

  • Freddy Eduardo Alcazar Barrientos

Guys, if you really wanna do this video, at least compare the most popular boards, including the "budget" boards from Ownboard, Meepo, Wowgo.... Really, this is clearly biased to the boosted brand... this is very disappointing guys...

This seems totally biased. No mention of other good companies that make good boards that most people can actually afford.

These devices are so useful and eco-friendly. It's really a shame how they're illegal in some places, like here in BC, Canada

Inboard and Acton? Both the boards you showed are definitely not the best next option, they are both overpriced garbage. Enertion Raptor 2 or Evolve Boards offer way better speed, quality and range, I'd say they're even better than the boosted, especially if range is your priority. And if you really want to push it with range and durability, you will get a metro board dual with the 55 mile range battery for a little under $2000. For budget options I would recommend the Meepo or the WowGo (both around $450) - those are the lowest price good electric boards.

$1200 for an electric skateboard? I'll just stay old fashioned & use my legs on a regular long board for under $300.
