If laptops follow smartphones trends... Does that mean that by 2020 laptops won't have an audio jack port anymore?

uhm no, the solution to laptop webcams is just taking the front facing camera from literally any phone and putting it in the top bezel of the laptop. it's really not that hard...

Just getting to Bezel-less laptops after such a long time just proves a few things, 1. companies turn to things when they see things are getting trendy...thus following the trend would end up with more $'s and 2. How creativity and innovation have completely died out, People just follow what other big companies do and its just a market filled with the same damn thing with a different Logo.

Get outta here with that ridiculous headline. Reserve that kind of talk for when bezels are actually gone. Smh

Computer repair businesses are shutting down bc of this very type of vanity tech transition. Fixing will be nearly impossible without a heatgun. This means everything is glued down and vulnerable to breaking when removing.
I like the plastic bezel covering the lcd assembly screws. Makes fixing a screen easier, and makes breaking the screen harder to accomplish when simply fixing something behind it, like a wire.
Remember how old cell phone screens were easy to fix? Customers could have an old system fixed for 25 to 50 bucks labor, plus parts. Today, the poorest folks are sitting on expensive machines built to last 3 years.
Now old tech will no longer be worth fixing nor exporting. Ebay salvage parts resellers are next ones out of a job as a derivative industry to helping little guys source spare parts. RIP.
