Remember you won't start drawing well on a tablet overnight. Specially if you're not able to do it on actual paper.

another tip with digital art is to not shade with black, it makes your colors look a bit flat. Same with shading with white. For dark colors, use blue or purple, lighter colors would be yellow (y)

The program I'm currently using is Medibang, it's pretty basic and not as intricate as clip studio— but it's free and gets the job more than well done. It's also available on multie platforms like PC, Android, or IOS devices so it's (for the most part) the same controls all around. It's also free.
    Did I mention it's free?

This was really interesting! I'm amazed by how much of it is talent (rather than tools).

Wacom tablets are too small for how expensive they are. A good brand is huion. I had an older intuos and i spent around $130 on a medium size. It broke within 2 years (keep in mind i treated it pretty well) Then I got a huion 1060 plus for $80. Its way bigger than the wacom and ive had it for about 3 years and its worked great. The 1060 also has an 8gb sd card already in the tablet which you can upgrade.
Id also like to mention shading with black and highlighting with white usually doesn’t look good. A good way to shade is to choose a light color and turn your shading layer into multiply, or to take your base color, make it a little darker, and move it on the color wheel. For example. If I was shading the blue plants I would take the blue, make it darker, and make it a little more purple. This would make it look a lot nicer.

The great thing is for me this is only $108.55 because I have a MacBook already.
