Having Aretha portrait & vocals on the Memorial Tribute was an emotional touch....Thank You 💘

  • FXDLS_JOE (Sep 26, 2018)

Ya know, I’ve always considered Whitney to be the best female vocalist of all time, but I’ve really begun to appreciate Aretha more in her passing, and I’m no longer so sure. You’re right; was a really nice touch!

  • Noel Maldonado (Sep 25, 2018)

after7pm yeah it was very beautiful

  • baddmanaz (Sep 18, 2018)

Lazytown is not on the emmy map, apparently

  • Life 4 Fire Forever (Sep 20, 2018)

Fraggle Rock should have been and never was

  • maybe the daytime emmy map

  • Alejandra Herreros (Sep 18, 2018)

    Still sad about John mahoney

    Joanna Gage ?

  • Tom Ripley (Sep 20, 2018)

Even in death you're competing for applause.

  • JoeB0y16 (Jan 28, 2019)

moon glow The claps you hear are from the audio recording of Aretha singing. Most of them are not from the Emmy Award audience.

  • moon glow (Oct 8, 2018)

    +Salar Bakht what???

  • Viet Hung Vu (Sep 18, 2018)

I wish this clip as short as possible. RIP everyone.

  • Christel Headington (Sep 22, 2018)

David Marks- The one popularity contest, no one wants to win.

  • David Marks (Sep 20, 2018)

I wish they stopped doing this clip because it's always an uncomfortable judgement call on who's included and who's left out. And the variation of applause per person is the weird final word in the fame popularity contest.

  • PopCerealTV (Sep 20, 2018)

I'm sure they missed several memorable passings, but no Margot Kidder? She actually won an Emmy, no? Harlan Ellison was a prolific TV writer.

  • INTERNETWORK (Sep 25, 2018)

    Probably.

  • wow I didn't consider Kidder. Probably the same reason they didn't include Verne Troyer because they think of her more for movies than tv

  • Olivia Wiki (Sep 18, 2018)

Man, John Mahoney hurts the most!

  • Gary Stewart (Sep 19, 2018)

    this.

  • INTERNETWORK (Sep 18, 2018)

The Oscars left out Dorothy Malone and now the Emmys have too. I used to watch her twice a week on "Peyton Place." How unappreciative these list makers can be.

  • INTERNETWORK (Sep 21, 2018)

+Kurt Sudheim. I don't know how old or young you are, but I've never even heard of some of the names on the Emmys' list. Dorothy Malone was a 1957 Oscar winner and a star on TV in the 1960s. It's not supposed to be about youth. And John McCain, hero that he was, had nothing to do with television. Ms Malone could have rightfully taken his place. I suppose the message here is that if you have the audacity to live into your nineties, you just don't count.

  • INTERNETWORK (Sep 21, 2018)

    Nope. It was in January.

  • Y'all forgot Lifestyles of Rich and Famous host....

  • Christel Headington (Sep 22, 2018)

iHeart Gaming and Whose Line -John McCain was very good on SNL.

  • Michael Malaret (Sep 20, 2018)

Some of the people you are speaking of were honored the week before at the Creative Arts emmy's. Robin Leach was honored as was Ann Wedgeworth

  • ana arias (Sep 18, 2018)

i just realized how odd it is to see tina fey speaking without making a big joke. it feels like there's a missing punchline or a silly dance somewhere and then you remember its the in memoriam speech.

  • Kathy Strong (Sep 22, 2018)

Her hair looked like she did it in a hurry..

  • David Marks (Sep 20, 2018)

I don't think any of the presenters volunteer for this part. Name is probably picked at random and then you never have to do it again.
