    Just so you know everyone, this was shot before Samsung included a supercap in the new S Pen! Also, yes VOOC charge is a thing, but I decided to keep it based around the ones we see most often.

    The fastest way to charge a phone would be to swap it's battery like we did it for almost 20 years. ... Oh wait that feature has been removed.

    Apparently, you guys haven't come across Oppo's Super VOOC charging, have you? It can charge Vivo Find X Lamborghini edition's 3400 mAh battery in just 35 minutes.

    I have an external battery that wont charge except with it's own cable. and it's a regular usb 2 cable. why wont it charge with another one ?

    2:52 Supercapacitors ain't gonna happen in phones not because of the heat! Quite the opposite, supercapacitors have almost no inner resistance, which in turn allows them to charge so quickly without generating heat. What really limits their usage in phones, is that they must be very big (i.e. 10-20x bigger than the current gen Li-ion batteries), and they either won't fit into a phone, or will be very small in capacity.
