One major thing this video misses is the amount of protein in ramen. Without protein, inmates can't build muscle, which is a pretty important sign of status and ability to defend oneself in prison. A pack of ramen contains about 10 grams of protein, which is a huge amount compared to what inmates usually get.

ramen is valuable in prison because during a prison riot you can bust out a packet of dry ramen, eat it without the sauce packet and restore 90 HP
