- If you want to strengthen your rotator cuff and you don't have access to gym equipment then you can use resistance bands. Personally I don't like the resistance band exercises that are normally prescibed by therapists for the rotator cuff. However with a few simple tweaks, you can make these movements much more effective to strengthen your shoulder.
