Cocaine comes from the leaf of the coca plant which is harvested and processed in Colombia. Despite the Colombian government’s effort to eradicate the plant, coca cultivation is at an all time high.     @Medusa that's not the reason and you know it, it's their videos about foreign conflicts which most of the times make USA look good and their left leaning videos which are very bad(like that one where black people were sleeping less than white people)

    I’m a member of the US Army. I had a long conversation with a fellow soldier that was sent to Colombia to determine how we could help fight the drug war. It was his unit that determined the deficiencies highlighted in the video about infrastructure being the largest reason for farmers growing coca. The US then began a micro-loan program to supply vehicles and road building projects to improve these areas. They also hire the local farmers to build these roads supply jobs and sources of income.     @Katina Marie Your right, their has to be balance, for people to leave the drug trade they have to find work to feed their family's and live a decent life. Auto company's and such are moving to Mexico right now.As a Canadian i would rather manufactures move to Mexico then China, a strong Mexico is a stronger North America, a stronger China is a weaker Asian pacific in regards to their neighbors.
