Maybe you should put stickers on the Excalibur puzzle.

    When you know about computer science, it really helps a lot. It says Binary, and 32 (2^5) exact moves, and there are 6 sides. My initial guess is that it will be similar to Binary Indexed Tree / Fenwick Tree. So it will be 1 2 1 3 1 2 1 4 1 2 1 3 1 2 1 5 1 2 1 3 1 2 1 4 1 2 1 3 1 2 1 6

lisandru cristea You wouldn’t get any exposure to theoretical stuff like this with a practical program, only in a BSc. For me, I was exposed to this in Discreet Mathematics, algorithms design (sorting specifically) and database design (again for sorting).Computers are only good at very specific things, sorting being one of those things, so there is a lot of emphasis put on this.

I need my daily dosage of seeing a fully grown magician tinkering and fiddling about a puzzle for 10+ min and this does appease it.

Btw: Its the Gray-Code, you can see it if you write down the Sequence like this: Sides: 6,5,4,3,2,1; 0 is in original Position, 1 is slid out.000000000001000011000010000110000111000101000100001100001101001111001110001010001011001001001000011000011001011011011010011110011111011101011100010100010101010111010110010010010011010001010000110000 -> solved at this point

  • Nathaniel Struselis (5 days ago)

+Zach Miller You fucking dolt it's gray code not pure binary. For it to be binary you'd need to change two values simultaneously. since you cannot it has to be gray code. Read the whole comment before you tell them it's wrong.

My name is Chrisius Ramseys Maximus, Commander to the Bicycles of the North, General to the #Ramfam legions, loyal servant to the true magician, David Blane. Father to Obi, husband to any girl who's not beware, and I will solve the Excalibur, in this life or the next.
