But spare a thought for Jim and Susan Kowalczik whose main charge is a huge 1400lb Kodiak brown bear. The couple look after the 9ft giant at their orphanage where they have dedicated their lives to rescuing and releasing injured animals. They now care for 11 bears, including Kodiak brown bears, Syrian bears and black bears on their 100 acre estate in Otisville, New York. Most were rescued as cubs from breeding programs or nature reserves that closed down.To find out more, visit http://orphanedwildlife.org/Videographer / director: Ruaridh ConnellanProducer: John Balson, Ellie WinstanleyEditor: Jack Stevens, Ian PhillipsBarcroft TV: https://www.youtube.com/user/barcroft...Barcroft Animals: https://www.youtube.com/barcroftanima...Barcroft Cars: https://www.youtube.com/user/Barcroft...Bear Grylls Adventure: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzcU...For more of the amazing side of life:For the full story, visit ANIMALS.BARCROFT.TV: http://animals.barcroft.tv/Like @BarcroftAnimals on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BarcroftAnim...Follow @BarcroftAnimals on Twitter: https://twitter.com/BarcroftAnimalsCheck out more videos: https://www.youtube.com/barcroftanima...
