Inside Beyonce's Difficult Pregnancy With Rumi and Sir

  • Published on:  4/17/2019
  • Beyonce speaks candidly about having to undergo an emergency cesarean section to save her twins' lives. “I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth,” the 37-year-old singer recounts in the just-released concert documentary "Homecoming." “I had an extremely difficult pregnancy. I had high blood pressure, I developed toxemia, preeclampsia, and, in the womb, one of my babies' heartbeats paused a few times, so I had to get an emergency C-section.” Fortunately the twins, Rumi and Sir, arrived healthy.

I had preeclampsia with my daughter. I almost died and the labor was so long. It was all worth it though. She’s a strong woman... god bless her. 🙏🏻

How many of you got up and immediately started training for s performance to be the first black women to headline Coachella right after an emergency c section.

  • Ayanna M (Apr 23, 2019)

So, your saying that every other woman starts rehearsing for Coachella for months after they give birth....ok

  • god563616 (Apr 17, 2019)

Like EVERY OTHER Woman's PREGNANCY!!!! The fact that she has to admit that shows people think she is super human. she is flesh and bloodlike everyone else. I have heard even worst horror stories but it never made headlines. Congrats on her being vulnerable for a change

Vakayla Minor you missed my point. I live in pain, but absolutely love my children.

  • Jennifer Nein (Apr 17, 2019)

every mother endures pain, loss and health issues during pregnancy, every working mother endures the conflict of her body and mind not wanting to be working but being with her children this has been happening for thousands of years... glad she's alright and the babies too but damn what about all the other mothers out there?

  • Jasmine (May 3, 2019)

Why is she obligated to talk about other women on her own documentary? Lmao. She is talking about her experience with her pregnancy to her fans. She is allowing herself to share a private moment, something she doesn't do often.

  • Kay Hicks (Apr 24, 2019)

All y'all so mad but why? Can she talking about her kids????????

  • Painted Wild (Apr 17, 2019)
