Inside Beyonce's Difficult Pregnancy With Rumi and Sir

  • Published on:  4/17/2019
  • Beyonce speaks candidly about having to undergo an emergency cesarean section to save her twins' lives. “I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth,” the 37-year-old singer recounts in the just-released concert documentary "Homecoming." “I had an extremely difficult pregnancy. I had high blood pressure, I developed toxemia, preeclampsia, and, in the womb, one of my babies' heartbeats paused a few times, so I had to get an emergency C-section.” Fortunately the twins, Rumi and Sir, arrived healthy.

I had preeclampsia with my daughter. I almost died and the labor was so long. It was all worth it though. She’s a strong woman... god bless her. 🙏🏻

She's NO different from other women. 🙄 No, not hating just saying. Pregnancy is a mutha.
    EDIT! Thanks for the likes.
But this topic is bringing us all together to know the danger of having preeclampsia is. I had it and was misdiagnosed. Tell me your story. I would like to hear it.

every mother endures pain, loss and health issues during pregnancy, every working mother endures the conflict of her body and mind not wanting to be working but being with her children this has been happening for thousands of years... glad she's alright and the babies too but damn what about all the other mothers out there?

Carrying multiples is literally no joke. My legs went numb from my waist all the way down my legs. I called my doctor and he said no, just wait that's only the beginning and he wasn't lying. I had to walk with my hand in between my legs because by the time I reached four months pregnant I could barely walk. With each walk it felt like my last and I literally damn near fell out every time I went outside. Again, having multiples is a blessing but the pregnancy sucks. I went natural might I add. My meds wore off. My son didn't hurt, I didn't even know he was out until my doctor told me he was out. My daughter (baby A) that little girl was painful, felt like a ball of 🔥.
