What other actors should've made this list?

I have wondered how actors ever remember who they really are...always pretending to be someone else.

  • @December Leigh I think Depp's real personality is the one in "Last Resort" smooth & cool with the ladies. Watching his transition into "21 Jumpstreet", he did a major change after "Edward Scissorhands".

  • Like in "The Stepfather"... "Who am I here"?

I miss Heath Ledger. His portrayal of the Joker was phenomenal, but he had the potential to do so much more.

  • Ramona Beam yesterday

Green Day's Panic at a Chemical Disco ll

@Gwyn Morris no not really stfu

almost any role of Christian Bale would not be out of place in this list

  • Va11idus 20 days ago

@Jared Wignall everyone forgets Reign of Fire, but I think Matthew McConaughey stole the show in that one. For me, that was the movie when I realized Matthew could act.

American Psycho, The Machinist, Batman Begins, Rescue Dawn, The Dark Knight, The Fighter, The Dark Knight Rises, Out of the Furnace, American Hustle, Hostiles, Vice.

Christian Bale is never the same after each and every role

Fun fact: Shelly Duvall (the girl from the shining) lives in my town, she's a little off but she's really nice

@Katerina Feisthauer she wasn't harassed. Stanley Kubrick was a perfectionist and made her redo several scenes until he liked it. There was one scene where Kubrick made her do over 100 takes of the same scene of her just screaming, and she wasn't the same after that.

  • Katerina Feisthauer 2 months ago

Wasn't she essentially harassed by the crew to get those extreme reactions out of her?

Um Jim Caveizel from passion of the Christ should be on here, his life completely changed after that, being hit by lightning, having open heart surgery, etc...he should be number 1

This thread got derailed by all these shit-for-brains Bible humpers trying to out-Jesus each other, but the original comment was fascinating! I didn't realize any of that stuff, very interesting, thanks for posting!

His Brother better be on here

  • Dude?!?!?!!! How could you have left out Matthew Mcconaughey? The man should not have lost that much weight especially in his 40’s. He got so skinny that he never got his looks back and it messed up his stomach. He really looked like he had aids long after that movie was completed. He looked perfect before.

Absolutly about Matthew McConaughey.... Dallas buyers club, was just one of those movies that not only put u right into it, you could not be affected by film. And agreed he's never been quite the same.

  • Cassandra Craig 4 months ago

Donnie Wahlberg lost TONS of weight to be the addict that shoots Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense, I didn't even recognize him. It didn't seem to faze him though. You're totally right about McConaughey, my daughter sees him and says he's not even cute, however, she didn't seem him in 'A Time To Kill'.

  • Aries WildChild 10 months ago

Well you never added Brandon Lee, his role killed him.

  • Uli Reinhart 3 months ago

Scott Holmes Brandon Lee’s death he got shot with a real bullet instead of a blank

  • Gypsy Spirit 4 months ago

@Scott Holmes Lee was shot and killed by an actual bullet when it was supposed to be a "blank ".
