  • Published on:  6/13/2018
  • iOS 12 for the iPhone has a complete overhaul of how notifications are managed. You can group them, you can turn them off more easily, and Do Not Disturb is also improved. In this episode of Processor, Dieter Bohn breaks it down. Notification management will be a course now and you'll be able to opt it as your major.

Having been so used to how notifications work on Android your seems really confusing, but honestly anything is better than what they had before. Grouped notifications is an easy win.

I love the attention to detail in this Dieter! Noticing that notifications are now requested differently is super granular but super important!

I still think they should implement something that has been in the jailbreak community for a while and that’s smaller more condensed in size banner notifications. It takes up too much space right now. A single line of smaller font text will do.
    Key words: “less obtrusive”

He is right about us all being pro users. with software growing more and more complex it seems we just adapt to it over time and become more in tune with the complex software over time and what was once really tasking for us and our phones is now just a daily task or feature we grow to love. our phones are an extension of us which means we are becoming more complex and understanding in this newer age of super efficient computing.
